I am a PhD candidate at UNSW Sydney, working with semi-supervised learning for object detection funded by SmartSat CRC. My research focuses on improving the efficiency of semi-supervised object detection methods to execute them on nanosatellites. I received the Master's degree in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. My research included creating an open-source tool to support executing classification models on resource-constrained microcontrollers and helping to develop an intelligent trap to capture flying insects. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from UFMS, Brazil, and have attended undergraduate courses in the Computer Engineering program at Portland State University, USA. Currently, my research interests include semi-supervised learning, object detection, and edge computing.
