Overall accountability for the safe, reliable and profitable operation on the Strathcona Works facility, transforming green petroleum coke into anode grade material for use in the aluminum smelting process.

► Lead/coach/mentor the process engineering activities for 20 professional engineers. ► Provide day-to-day, mid term and long-term strategic process and operations engineering support to eight Scotford production units. The Process Engineering Manager has responsibility to lead technical professionals to support Production in achieving safe, environmentally sound, reliable and profitable operation of the site. ► Provide technical assurance to manage process safety risksAccomplishments:☆ Coordinated a successful technical, business and environmental integration of the Carbon Capture unit operation in its first full year of operation.☆ Led the energy improvement team that delivered close to 20 M$/y in energy saving and 500 kt/y of CO2e reduction.☆ Implemented the transition of process safety ownership from central organization to front line engineers.☆ Ensured the implementation of proactive technical monitoring for all process technologies at site and especially Residue Hydrocracking technology ,to safely maximize profitability and process reliability of these units.☆ Improved the organization effectiveness and work transparency through Leader Standard Work and Visual Management approaches.

► Led all Contracting & Procurement operations, inclusive of material management operations. ► Executed the planing, development and operationalization of procurement strategies for the site, developing synergies with Shell affiliates► Led the improvement and optimization of the supply chain, targeting for inventory accuracy and right part, right place, right time concept.Accomplishments:☆ Led the Carbon Capture C&P Project to Asset Operation transition.☆ Executed a contract strategy to support the execution of two massive (2 x $200M+) site maintenance turnaround in 2015 and 2016.☆Delivered $75M+ of third party spend saving over 4 years through price reduction and work/process efficiencies.☆ Delivered significant improvement in material management through inventory consolidation, inventory accuracy and work process improvement through ‘’Lean’’ technique and digitalization.

► Site Leader for the site HSSE ( 50 staff, 40 contractors)► Custodian for all aspect of the HSSE Management System inclusive of Health, Safety, Security, Emergency Response and Environment ► Accountable for Operational aspects of Site Security, Site Emergency Response and Site Waste Management;► Process owner for critical safety processes like permit to work, emergency response and contractor safety management.► Custodian of the site ISO14001 Environmental Certification► EOC as part of the Incident Command System for site (ICS)► Shell Representative at the North-East Capital Industrial Association Executive Committee► Experienced HSSE management system auditorAccomplishments:☆ Led the development and implementation of safety leadership and culture programs like Visible Safety Leadership, JMJ Incident & Injury Free program to move the organization toward a goal zero culture.☆Co-led the development of the Tripartite initiatives with the Building Trades of Alberta which contributed to more open dialogues between owners, trade unions and contracting companies on Health & Safety matters. Responsible Canadian Energy Award in 2012.☆Led the transition into the new Alberta GHG regulation implementation and had a successful SGER (Specified Gas Emitters Regulation) baseline audit.☆ Led a successful operationalization of the new site environment license during the expansion of the Upgrader in 2010.☆ Implemented a dedicated site emergency response team leading to a better response time, consistency in the response and better/lower cost training for the volunteer responders.☆ Delivered an all time low injury rate of 0.25 injury/200khrs in 2010.☆ Led a significant step change in site security management plan, counter measures and operations.

► Accountable for Refinery Production & Distribution Planning► Accountable for contract agreements between Shell and Business Partners► Accountable for Annual Budget Process including Production Plan, Operational Expense and Capital Expenditure► Chair of the Refinery Project Review Team► Responsible for the Refinery Business Improvement Process► Primary interface for with the external business stakeholdersAccomplishments:☆ Delivered annual & monthly business plans including production, operational expenses and capital expenditure for the refinery and the western Canada distribution system.☆ Operationalized the implementation of the Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel product blending and shipping post regulation at 15 ppm. Received President Safety Award for the safe delivery of that project of which I had shared leadership in the start-up.☆ Led the reduction of product blending giveaway to the lowest level with less than 50 k$ over a year. Won the Global Shell Manufacturing EVP award in the product quality for this achievement.

► Responsible for Monthly product Supply plan including refinery production, product imports, retail, whole and speciality sales.► Responsible for crude slate selection for Montreal-East Refinery► Responsible for Black Oil, Lube oils and asphalt production plan► Focal point for small project economics and Turnaround Planing economics► Responsible for annual production plan as part of the budget process

- Process Engineer: for RCCU, HCU, Utilities, DHT. Responsible for the mid/long term health of these units including monitoring, project development, Advance optimization, T/A planning, etc. - Ops Engineer : Responsible for the short term optimization of the production units. Development of Management of Change and short term improvement plan. Primary interface between Operations and Business.

► Project Development on gasoline reformulation ( Benzene removal, Sulfur removal, RVP reduction)► Project development on distribution projects► Process Engineer for the FCCU - responsible for overall optimization of the unit performance - daily optimization, catalyst monitoring, yield monitoring, trooble shooting, project develoment, etc.
