I have recently completed my MA in Philosophy at King's College London earning a Distinction. During my MA, my research was primarily focused in the philosophy of science, especially naturalistic metaphysics. The early chapters of my MA dissertation motivate naturalistic metaphysics and evaluate three promising frameworks therein (pragmatic perspectivism, perspectival realism, and ontic structural realism). I argue that ontic structural realism provides the most effective palisade against skepticism. In the latter chapters, I develop ontic structural realism's criterion of ontological commitment and demonstrate its performance in two case-studies. The first case-study discusses the switch from phlogiston theory to Lavoisier's new chemistry during the Chemical Revolution to address apparent diachronic instability of reference. The second case-study analyzes Somatic Mutation Theory and Tissue Organisational Field Theory's seemingly incompatible ontologies of cancer to address synchronic heterogeneity.During my time at King's College London, I co-founded a postgraduate journal for academic philosophy named Apophansis. I am currently Co-Editor in Chief of the journal and we are calling for papers for our second issue. This role has been incredibly rewarding, I'm proud to have provided a platform for postgraduate scholarship. The year prior to my MA I completed a postgraduate conversion in philosophy at the University of St Andrews. During my time in Scotland, I focused my studies in analytic metaphysics and meta-ontology where I developed a strong affinity for neo-Meinongian Object Theory (a la Ed Zalta). In undergraduate, I earned a bachelors degree with honors in Politics and International Relations from the University of Manchester. During my bachelors, I was engrossed in political and moral philosophy as well as political economy. I finished my bachelors with a strong first, receiving a distinctive mark of 88 on my dissertation. In my dissertation I argued that standard historiographies of the Chicano Movement are steeped in epistemic injustice, ignoring the praxis of chicanas. To remedy this, I presented an archeology of Chicana praxis. During my undergraduate degree I joined Juncture, the University of Manchester's Undergraduate Politics Journal. My first role in Juncture was 'Editorial Board Member.' This role was pivotal in my editorial journey because I was taught the ropes of the publishing process (and I loved it). Eventually, I was chosen by the former EiC's to succeed them and so I took on the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief.
