As a *computer engineer*, I am currently in charge of all things IT in Digitalcity.brussels, an ICT-related Not-for-Profit Organization of the Brussels Regional Government, I use my 30 + years of experience to co-ordinate and manage a vast network of servers, PCs and peripherals. I also deal with the strategic aspects scheduling the development of management assistance tools (knowledge, process, and document management) as well as security, cloud computing, database management, VOIP, IT training, web technologies, and development in itself. I am currently in charge of a new project that aims at launching a online platform that will enable visitors to view all IT-related courses in the Brussels Regional Government.I am also a mentor at the ICT-Faculty of Odisee, the former "Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel".At the same time, I participate in a large document management assignment for a cross-border military organization and sit on a variety of committees for the Commission of the EU (DG CNECT, COMP, ENTR, DIGIT, T).As a former *Production Manager* I made use of my skills to provide business process solutions from inception, setting up, monitoring, optimization and support, to training production and management staff.I have experience in both project-driven, time-delimited assignments (consultancy, production management …) and long-lasting production line management; in horizontal (country and regional level) as well as vertical management (production lines, studies, training …).Further competences include Document Management, (E)CM, portals, collaboration strategies, scanning and storage methodologies, Linguistic and Translation Sciences (CAT tools, MT, and analyses of translation workflow, creative writing)I'm an English, French and Dutch native and *translate*, interpret and do voice work from and into these languages, and from a variety of other languages (Russian, German, …).
