• CAHPS project – Created the CAHPS for Hospice subsystem to extract and report data for several vendor interface requesting CAHPS data for CMS.• ICD10 migration project – helped to create standard routines to enter and retrieve ICD records form the system. Updated all reports to use both ICD9 and ICD10 codes.• Celltrak support – Provided developer support to Tier 1 support personnel. Responsible for troubleshooting, create detailed analysis and ultimately modifying code if necessary. • CMS 8358 Pharmacy Interface project – updated pharmacy interfaces to meet CMS requirements.• Kronos interface update project – Worked with the largest client to modify and configure the timesheet entry system with Kronos time and attendance system.• Address stabilization project – Created functions and procedures to standardize the creation and validation of addresses in various scenarios across the application.

I started a small consulting firm in 1992, with the intention of developing and delivering Progress based applications and knowledge services. For most of the the firm's history, we had a handful consultants working with clients across the country. We reached our peak in the mid 1990's with roughly ten to fifteen consultants on projects at a time. With the 'perfect storm' of the Asian currency scare, Y2K IT overspending and 9/11 we paired back to a only a select few consultants in 2001.

• Test protocols, design specifications, and documentation had to comply with FDA, Sarbanes-Oxley, State of California and DEA standards (among others) for pharmaceutical manufacturing• Supported the conversion of corporate accounting system to SAP by troubleshooting, generating MFG/PRO reports and data fixes• Created design specifications and test script protocols for the work order reprinting process• Implemented the Segregation Of Duties functionality• Implemented the Supplier Visualization software from QAD software• Primary point of contact for over 100 MFG/PRO users - performed ‘issue triage’ and resolution

• Developed specifications and modified a cost variance data collection and reporting system.

• Created reporting subsystem to gather and report historical information from patients and insurance companies to track and report on payment history and aging information over time.

• Developed interface modules and business logic for a SYMIX replacement system using a custom-developed framework.

• Troubleshot, tuned and customized the MGAMaster application. MGAMaster provides back office support insurance companies, including A/R and imaging systems• Improved the performance of various reports; the average performance improvement was better than 60%.• Added third-party imaging components to MGAMaster• Developed and led weekly training sessions on Progress topics for developers• Created a web based interface for users to manage report jobs• Led the conversion of archived data in an Oracle system into a set of Progress databases• Converted a Word based system to print invoices into an XML output format ready for internal printing or outsourcing. • Merged and migrate three obsolete systems onto a single unified system.• Developed processes and procedures for data exchange between a Progress custom warehousing and distribution application and Oracle financials.• Troubleshoot and develop reports for the drop ship system.

• Modified the ‘drop ship’ system to support data sources including: EDI, XML, flat files, Oracle dataserver.• Developed framework for vendor XML data interchange initiative.

• Worked with developers from Progress to implement and debug the Progress OpenEdge toolset.• Developed business requirements, technical specifications and technical documentation.• Created business logic modules and UI screens using Progress OpenEdge toolset.• Project merged and converted two non-Progress based products into a single Progress OpenEdge application, with business logic encapsulated to achieve UI independence. A small Progress v7 based system was also converted to OpenEdge and merged into the new product.

• Worked with internal support personnel to troubleshoot, resolve issues, then implement reporting solutions• Improved the performance of reports and invoicing processes.

• Devised and implemented the processes to migrate a 100+ user system from Progress v8 to v9 and from DG/UX to Sun Solaris at the same time. • Trained staff for Progress data administration techniques.• Deliverables included: detailed step-by-step instructions for the junior level developer executing the project, recovery instructions in case of the unexpected, UNIX scripts, UNIX kernel tuning guidelines, executive summary document of all processes.
