I am a gender expert with a proven track record of successfully delivering on fiscal and social justice work in Africa. In the last 15 years, I have developed programs, campaigns and high-quality research products that have contributed to policy changes at national, regional and continental levels. For example, I coordinated a campaign that contributed to the review of the 2008 SADC Protocol on Gender and Development and led the research that laid the foundation of the Africa Union Gender Strategy 2018-2027. I am a seasoned researcher who has co-authored 7 editions of the SADC Gender Protocol Barometer which provides up-to-date gender statistics and analysis that inform policy development in Southern Africa. Previously I led the Debt Sustainability Portfolio for Open Society Africa. In this role I was responsible for grant making, project management, partnerships management and providing thought leadership on the foundation's interventions on sovereign debt in selected countries in the continent. In 2021-2022 I represented Open Society Africa in the Working Group for the OSF Global Campaign on Debt and Green Recovery. I was a task team member of the OSF Debt Sustainability Initiative. During the same period I also coordinated more than 10 African civil society networks advancing a continental campaign on sovereign debt through the Stop the Bleed Campaign. Currently I am working at International Development Economics Associates where I oversee the development and implementation of the organization's operational and regulatory policies, programme quality and manage strategic partnerships. In addition to my professional achievements, I am a Commonwealth Scholar with a Master in Arts degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of York. I also hold professional certificates in Feminist Theory, Feminist Macroeconomics, Gender and Trade, Public Policy, Governance, Politics and Regional Integration, Key Essentials: The Wealth Economy, Sustainable Development and the Law
