Designed and synthesized a novel zwitterionic heptamethine cyanine fluorophore-linker combination that can be used to prepare bright, nonaggregating antibody-fluorophore conjugates (AFCs) for cancer imaging applications (US Patent # 10,961,193).Built a custom shortwave-infrared (SWIR) optical imaging setup for multicolor in vivo imaging of novel SWIR AFCs. Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of the instrument as well as planning, carrying out and data analysis of in vivo imaging experiments in mice.Designed and synthesized a series of novel probes with pH responsive SWIR emission and developed a ratiometric optical imaging method for studying AFC uptake kinetics in living animals with multicolor SWIR imaging.
