• Functions and tasks associated with being the Administrator for the Transport Support Package (TSP) in supporting the TSP personnel in Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique. This was an operation between IFRC and UNWFP, where IFRC provided a transport infrastructure for the use of UNWFP to deliver food in Southern Africa.• 3 Months mission in Zambia, closure of TSP operation, including disposal/transfer/donation of assets, negotiations with authorities, employment of temporary staff, clearing of all financial matters, etc (June- August 2005). The Zambia operation consisted of 160 commercial vehicles and a number of passenger /light delivery vehicles.• 3 Month mission in Harare Regional Delegation acting for Logistics Delegate and Procurement Delegate (September 2004).• Regional operations and programs logistics support to delegations in sub-Sahara Africa including requisitioning, receiving, storing, import and export, transportation, procurement, customs clearance and other formalities of incoming and outgoing goods.• Responsible for proper and accountable financial management for the office including cash requests, forecasts and monthly submission of expenditures, as well as regional finance support.• Liaise with international, government and non-government agencies and collaborate with them as needed by Head of Regional Delegation in Harare.• Coordinating management meetings in Johannesburg (SAMT, SAPRCS, ALL AFRICA HOD).• Arranged a 4 day symposium on HIV/ADIS in Johannesburg.
