I am currently working as a Freelance Architect and Collaborator with the amazing Studio BAD. The company has a diverse portfolio, which has seen me engaging on small to larger scale residential projects and community projects.

To work in a team of two, allowed me to take on a lot of responsibility and gain a larger understanding of starting up a small architectural practice. Working at RS Studio has given me skills in:- Solo site visits- Pitch my own designs to clients- Produce technical drawings, schedule fo works and tender documents- Gain experience in relgious architecture (South East Asian)- Go to Networking Events- Produce template documents for the company- Research relgious protocols for building design- Run client meetings to discuss contracts.

Working in Tanzania, meant learning a new culture, and cultural norms to assist with understanding how to design for the area. This has helped me gain a large understanding of how to work with the community which will directly be effected by your design. Here I was also given the opportunity to work on research that interested me. This work has led onto what I have produced for my degree.- Work and coordinate with local community groups- Work under difficult circumstances, e.g. flooding, no electricity.- Sourcing local materials from small businesses- Communicate and work with a mix of languages- Learn building materials that can be found naturally - Study alternative building methods.

Working in this position at Donald Insall Associates in a team of 5, helped me understand how the dynamics of small branch of a larger company works. I have been given the chance to visit a few sites and see how inspections are done on a historic building.- Produced Health and Safety Documents for tender- Carried out a Quinquennial Inspection- Rendered drawings to help with clients understanding of the project- Drawn up survey drawings - Built upon knowledge on Listed Building applications- Expanded on knowledge of conservation projects- Organised CPDs

This position involved working under George Saumerez-Smith in a team of 10. Through the development of my skills in ArchiCAD i was able to work on live projects which included country estates as well as residential dwellings. Within this position I visited sites to carry out site surveys and do snag checks on complete projects. However, I also completed work on historic research for some of the older sites.Tasks:-Met deadlines of Tasks- Transfer of Physical drawings to ArchiCAD- InDesign Booklets produced for in house use- Insight into how a middle size practice works- Increase understanding of Neo-Classical architecture

This experience was done after completing my first year at architecture school.Working at SC I was introduced to afforable housing, small home adaptations and M.O.D builds. Working with a small team I was shown a lot and had one site visit every week to see development and progression on site. Here I also gained experience about designing for people withe disabilties and impliments that need to be put in place to make day to day activities as simple as possible.Tasks:-Taking minutes in meetings- Pitching designs to clients- Widening knowledge on buildings for people with disabilities- Gaining an understanding of new products on the market- Interacting and communicating with other closely related professions

I worked across a few branches of Phase Eight over a couple of years. Here I was able to advise clients on fashion and aesthetics, promote positive images of the brand, ensure accurate accounting of cash and bank management. Whilst working for Phase Eight, I had the opportunity to work for the Head Office in London, where I liaised with suppliers, took minutes in meetings and arrange and tend fit sessions.
