Lucien is Vice President and Head of Policy at MSCI Carbon Markets, focusing on corporate climate commitments and voluntary carbon markets. Before MSCI's acquisition of Trove, he developed Trove Research's Policy & Guidance product offering. He now leads policy research and associated client engagements for MSCI Carbon Markets.Lucien's career has spanned consultancy, research, and policy. Previously, he was a Policy Adviser in the Secretariat of the Rockefeller Foundation Economic Council on Planetary Health, hosted by the Oxford Martin School and a responsible business consultant with Impactical. His research background includes the global green economy, the development of the SDGs, climate adaptation and health, and planetary health.Prior consultancy experience includes sustainability strategy and communications, strategy development for a climate media organisation, and research across a range of CSR, sustainability and social policy areas. As a researcher, he was nominated for an Emmy in the 'Outstanding Research: News' category with the 'Handle with Care' project for Vice News Tonight.Lucien holds a PhD in Geography from UCL, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of the RSA. He also has over ten years of experience in the non-profit sector as a volunteer with Education Partnerships Africa, most recently as a Trustee.
