For more than 25 years, our organization has effectively trained individuals in building trust, working collaboratively to improve our practice, and, in the end, supporting student achievement while improving educators' job satisfaction and retention. Thanks to COVID, we've learned how to do the same via Zoom. It's been a remarkable year of actively creating new content that leverages several Zoom functions, adapting existing NSRF protocols (conversational structures) to work effectively in videoconferencing, adapting our agendas to reduce Zoom fatigue, and upgrading our consulting Facilitators' capacities to lead collaborative trainings through videoconferencing. We're now rolling out more trainings on our new learning management platform and intend to carry this work well beyond a return to traditional classrooms and meeting spaces.

* Exceeded projections over 2 years by 206% (projected 2015-17: $648,000; actual $1,335,000); streamlining operations/processes, improving sales/customer service, refining agendas to encourage quality of training/trainers, building stronger word-of-mouth.* Over the course of a year, collaborated to co-write, edit, and design NSRF Critical Friends Group Coaches’ Handbook, the 144-page training manual used in 150+ NSRF trainings from 2016 forward.* Co-author and co-developer of a new Building Belonging in the Classroom training for educators.* Managed 2 staff members + 25 contract consultants to train more than 2,000 educators across the world. * Located and hired IT consultants, rewrote and managed the revision of website including development of a brand-new, long-awaited tool. Website launched in Feb. 2018, increasing customer engagement -- new tool caused paid memberships in the year after launch to nearly double the projected income. * Lead experiential, personalized 5-day trainings across U.S. and in Canada for groups of educators in Critical Friends Group® work and other collaborative processes to increase student achievement by improving educator collaboration and school culture.

* Increased organizational income another 26% (actual 2014-15: $407,800). * Managed new staff and improved operational flow; to train more than 1,200 educators internationally. *Re-architected and rewrote 80-page commercial and educational website, launched summer 2015; hired and managed interns from the Indiana University School of Informatics Serve-IT program.

* Improved sales, customer service and policies to increase organizational income 289% beyond projections (projected: $111,500, actual: $322,500). * Managed office, handled sales calls, invoiced clients, fulfilled merchandise orders and coordinated. materials shipped; to train 400 educators through U.S., Canada, and abroad. * Drafted marketing materials including new brochures, scripts for videos, social media campaigns; edited and redesigned NSRF Connections electronic journal, produced six times each year.

* Co-develops, edits, and designs printed materials for trainings, marketing.* Co-facilitates hourlong, daylong and multi-day seminars aimed at business and IT professionals.

* Managed teams of 40+ volunteers to produce four TEDxBloomington events featuring 60+ speakers. * Interviewed potential speakers, selected speakers and TED.com videos to create a cohesive program ranging from a few hours to a full day.* Coached extensively to improve speakers’ talks individually and improve the show as a whole.* Formed non-profit TxB+ organization to manage operations, expand educational, public speaking efforts.* Now advising current curator/licensee in an ex-officio role

* Collaborated with Co-Curators Christian Long and David Krane on all the local aspects of presenting the first TEDx event in Bloomington, Indiana, May 2011.* Two TEDxBloomington talks from this event (Shawn Achor and Charlie Todd) were promoted to TED.com and now have more than 22 million views.

* Copywriting and creative direction of marketing and public relations materials, as well as publications writing for magazines.

Started as intern during my senior year of college. Was found to be valuable so was hired on as Administrative Assistant, then moved into Media Buying and Copywriting. Left the organization in order to attend graduate school.

During summer vacation from my junior year in college, was a full-time reporter for this county-wide daily newspaper.

During summer vacations of my undergraduate years (May-August, 1980 and May-August 1981), worked as both a radio announcer and the assistant news director for one of the two radio stations in Dubois County, Indiana. Wrote, produced, and broadcast local news as well as story-form community programming.
