SUD Counselor• Substances counseling and support to individual clients and their families• Discover the underlying cause of addiction, lend mental/behavioral health supports for clients• Understand and advise addicts and alcoholics on how drugs or alcohol affects special health considerations such as pregnancy, mental health conditions, or chronic health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure• Stay informed and in touch with community resources and support groups• Provide information and promotional materials• Educate family or friend caregivers on how to help addicts stay on track• Work with other health professionals to create an individual treatment plan• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment programs• Monitor client progress• Be aware of the signs of recidivism• Keep detailed notes on patient interaction• Maintain strict confidentialityHousing SpecialistAs a Housing Specialist, a variety of office activities are implemented per the Lima UMADAOP, Inc. Department of Scattered Sites Housing Program. Responsibilities include: explaining, interpreting, and applying the policies, procedures, and acting as a liaison while working with interested or participating landlords, rental agencies, community organizations, service agencies, and charitable groups to provide information on needed resources; determining initial and continuing eligibility and qualifying participants; counseling participants as to sources of additional supportive services; completing interim and annual recertification of participants; and negotiating and preparing contracts between participants, and landlords. Other housing program responsibilities include: recruiting participants from special programs, pertaining to AOD; conducting new participant orientation; administering policies and procedures; providing participant support by developing goals and participant program objectives; mediating landlord/participant issues; and learning new guidelines, rules, and regulations.

AOD Treatment Services, specializing in Counseling, case management, and providing education and facilitation of AOD groups to clients with Alcohol and Other Drugs issues.

Oversee client files, coordinate treatment staff scheduling, connect with courts to coordinate and review treatment process for various clientele, multiple administrative tasks regarding agency business, quarterly and semi-annual entries to state documentation systems, insurance authorizations, recordkeeping and data collection.
