Placed in charge of a team of 50 drivers and 350 temperature controlled vehicles, planning shift patterns ensuring all members adhered to road haulage legalities and the working time directive at all times. Worked in conjunction with the bookings team guaranteeing customer deliveries would arrive on time and the highest level of productivity from the vehicles was utilised at all times producing a profitable and reliable service for both the company and our customers.

Heading up a team of 3 transport operators and 30 drivers. In charge of route planning, loading procedures and customer liaison. Driver and route planning, essential to the business to ensure the vehicles were running to make a profit at all times as well as delivering a reliable and successful service to our customers. Working with the warehouse manager, designing and issuing load plans, as a groupage haulier it was imperative that the vehicles were loaded correctly and legally for the safety of drivers, warehouse staff and all road users.

Working on airfield support with Engineering Operations to schedule the fuel requirements of each in bound aircraft, tasking drivers and issuing instructions to ensure the aircraft received the correct amount of fuel to each tank and at the precise time required for the quickest turn around possible, imperative during missions and exercises. Demonstrated good initiative at an early age when deployed as the only transport operative and ran the whole supporting vehicle fleet for a 64 squadron mission in the Ascension Islands during the Sierra Leone conflict in 2000. Also provided various armed forces roles in numerous countries including the UK, Cyprus, The Falkland Islands, Ascension Island and Kosovo, including covering fuel strikes, fireman strikes, air disaster clean up missions showing adaptability in even the most extreme and stressful situations.
