Great Shape! Inc. facilitates humanitarian projects in the Caribbean. Since 1988, volunteers have empowered the children and families of Jamaica and the Caribbean by providing access to education and health care. As the communications director, Lucinda and her team work year round to train volunteers, promote, recruit, plan, and fundraise for the humanitarian projects each year. Lucinda's team has created a very effective communication technique and process to train the volunteers when they arrive on project. Within 48 hours, Lucinda coaches a group of strangers of all different ages and backgrounds, to collaborate as an extremely impactful, healthy, and positive team. She also coaches the volunteers through re-entry; that sometimes emotional transition from serving as a humanitarian to returning to "daily life".You can join them! Negril Education Environment Trust (NEET) is a non-profit based in Negril, Jamaica. We fight crime through education. NEET facilitates an amazing leadership programme for students and their parent/guardian, along with providing access to all kinds of academic resources, mentoring, technology (tablets especially), and healthcare. I coach the team toward more influential communication, internally and eternally. NEET is a powerhouse of passion, loyalty and dedication, with deep Caribbean roots.

As the Director of Awesomeness (great title, right?!), Lucinda coaches the teams at both the clinic and the academy. They focus on collaborative communication and behaviors to deliver their very best selves as ambassadors of both companies. My news director at the time was always telling me, "Luc, you've gotta learn how to turn chicken "bleep" into chicken salad", and boy did we ever! One reporter, one anchor, a high school intern and a giant region... it all went by in a flash.
