Lucius started the landscape architecture practice at Wenck and leads the growing group of professionals as a Principal of the firm. He is responsible for developing and implementing business and marketing plan initiatives targeted at establishing marketplace and building design service reputation. Other responsibilities include implementing projects with varying stakeholders on diverse environmental conservation and restoration projects. Specialties include urban hydrology and stormwater management, stream revitalization, as well as integrating water resources as a design element to create naturalized environments in urban settings. Professional responsibilities include:• Project manager of multi-discipline teams of 3 - 8 members providing stormwater modeling, stream restoration, wetland restoration, park, streetscape, green infrastructure and development projects with design budgets ranging from $5,000 to $120,000.• Administer construction of design projects with costs ranging from $25,000 to $675,000 and schedules ranging from 4 days to 8 months, with 2 to 5 years of additional establishment and warranty periods.• Nominated and promoted to associate in 2015 by the principals of the firm. I served as co-chair of the associates in 2016. When I became chair in 2017, I eliminated the chair positions and led the group through transformational change. I introduced a new structure to the group, revitalized its role within the company, and reenergized members to volunteer, develop, and lead initiatives that they are passionate about and that are important to company culture and the executive management team.• Nominated and promoted to Principal of the firm in 2019.• Facilitate the landscape architecture service group with weekly department meetings and individual one-on-one meetings. A private nonprofit that works to promote and improve water resources.Stream restoration consultant and liaison between watershed districts, cities, homeowners and consultants. Provided technical review of cost-share proposals, making stream restoration design recommendations when needed.Managed and coordinated up to 4 crews (5 to 8 adults and teens on each crew) at a time to excavate and install raingardens.Managed the plant nursery inventory, placing requisitions weekly to ensure sufficient materials to keep crews at full capacity. Coordinated nursery deliveries withinventory to prepare orders delivered after hours to ensure project deadlines were met.Participated in design workshops and onsite consultations to assist homeowners with raingarden design.

Worked on identifying the vital signs of urban river health and the correlation of the river's health with the city's health.Completed an analysis on how policy influences design, directly comparing the Mississippi National River Recreation Area (MNNRA) comprehensive plan to the Danube River Basin Management plant.

McKnight Foundation grant titled, "Planning for restoration of the Mississippi River in the Twin Cities."Performed a literature review on the management documents governing the Mississippi River gorge and collected existing data and reports on the restoration projects of large rivers like the Mississippi, Missouri, Rhine and Danube.
