Lawyer at the Department for Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, responsible for supervising implementation of judgments by the governments of Albania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and, partly, Turkey. Vice-President of the European Human Rights Association and the President of the Strasbourg Foundation of Human Rights, Social and Health Policy in Poland.In 2005-2009 lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights, responsible for examining cases against Poland, drafting judgments, conducting research on human rights protection in Member States and actively contributing to training of national judges and lawyers. Previously, chargée de mission at the Polish Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe. In 2004-2005 head of the election campaign of Mr Marek A. Nowicki, Kosovo Ombudsman, for the post of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.Broad training experience in workshops and lectures on the Convention system and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights given for lawyers, judges, NGOs and students around the world (i.a. France, Germany, UK, United States, Japan, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Azerbaijan) and in a wide-scale project in co-operation with the Polish Bar Association aimed at practical training of solicitors in all 16 regions of Poland.Area of expertise covers the ECHR’s case-law and the system of protection of human rights in Europe, with a special interest in the area of effectiveness of the protection granted by the Convention and its various mechanism.A number of articles publishedon the monitoring system of the Convention, the effectiveness of the implementation of the ECHR’s judgments and on specific problems of the ECHR’s case law. Co-author of a practical guide on the use of the Convention by legal professionals.
