About Lucretia Field

I thrive in a creative and cooperative environment where engineering solutions stem from artistic and human-centered design rather than the other way around. My fascination with escape rooms, immersive theater, and live performance comes from a deep interest in story telling by incorporating technology. Employing my electrical engineering education, I approach problems from a technological perspective - from development of a home plant monitoring product, to a custom UV curing chamber for resin 3D prints - while my passion for art and design - including set design and fabrication, digital drawing, and fiber arts - allows me to see a larger creative picture. At my core, I am an artistic engineer who approaches problems from a hands-on perspective by testing prototypes and learning through experimentation. I am adept at working and communicating in teams of electrical, mechanical, and software product development engineers. Through my coursework in the design process and various hands-on design projects, I have gained skills in rapid prototyping including Arduino, Python for Raspberry Pi, custom PCB layout, and CAD for 3D printing. I am seeking opportunities to work with a group of talented and excited engineers, artists, and designers on impactful products with a sustainability or educational focus.
