Report to the Manager of Nursing Informatics and the Chief Nursing Information Officer. Working collaboratively with Clinical Information Systems (CIS) end users and the departments in the Office of the CIO - Information Services (OCIO-IS) division to design and deploy advanced clinical information technologies that support the delivery of safe, efficient patient care. Serves as a lead to oversee assigned projects and mentor staff. Functions in leadership role with the planning, design, development, training, implementation, and project management of Clinical Information Systems. Primary focus is with Epic EHR.

• Maintain and support McKesson Clinical Systems and associated dependant systems within Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Manage periodic clinical updates to include those that relate to Meaningful Use and meeting Meaningful Use Measurements. • Coordinate with McKesson Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), in-house Physicians, Nurse Managers and Nurse Educators to develop Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) order-sets, iForms and outlines. Provide requirements and process clarification for on-going data changes and additions within ClinDoc. • Coordinate with MUSC Pharmacy to capture continuous medication changes within the Clinical Systems and assure that all order-sets, iForms and outlines have been updated with these changes. Provide daily Clinical System knowledge support for on-call staff and clinical staff throughout various units within the hospital.

In addition to Oacis and Portal repositories. One of five Analysts on the Computer Physician Order Entry team. Responsible for build, design, and implementation of CPOE project. Development of training material and review of Nursing Policies as they relate to clinical documentation in the computer system.

Assisted with troubleshooting system performance issues and provided system enhancement request in coordination with Shriners Headquarters. Chair of Performance workgroup consisting of six Clinical Analysts. Committee developed guidelines to assist in enhancing system performance following a system downtime. Developed training script to assist Clinical Analyst and Headquarters in evaluating system performance.
