Reporting directly to the Senior Medical Scientist, my role involved sample handling (receipt, sorting, labelling, requesting tests aliquotting, storage, dispatch), loading and unloading of analytical instruments. Maintaining records and worked within the quality management systems in place.

- Helping to coordinate new product development activities including * supplier evaluation and selection * product development with new and existing suppliers* packaging and artwork development- Quality monitoring of suppliers and products.- Managing QA documentation including technical specifications- Ensuring compliance with current legislation and legal labellingwww.paneurofoods.ie

Management of the Product Assessment Centre in terms of facilities, people and budgets. Ensure that consumer tests are conducted professionally and accurately. Responsible for specific aspects of quality of own brand products.

This role was a contract position to help facilitate the start up a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant and involved the introduction of all direct materials to site. My responsibilities included:• Co-ordination of a cross functional project team (Procurement, Planning, EHS, QA, QC, SAP Stewards) to move materials through the internal 5 stage new material introduction process• Coordinated priorities and managed the tight timelines for material introduction • Ensure all documentation , quality audits, EHS assessments are in place before a material were introduced

This role was a maternity cover contract and involved the management of New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept generation up to and beyond the launch. Reporting to the Group Marketing and Technical Director, my responsibilities included:• Management of the project team, NPD Budget, the critical path and all timeplans• Market review & idea generation• Develop products in line with strategic expectations and regulatory guidelines• Manage all in-house sensory analysis, and external consumer panels

Reporting to the Group Marketing and Technical Director, my responsibilities included:• Management of the JFFG technical and quality team of six personal• Responsible for the safety and quality of all products coming from all outsourcing partners• Management of all outsourcing partners to ensure that all technical and quality issues are communicated• Responsible for all packaging & product specifications, artwork and labelling of the products• Responsible for keeping abreast of all legislation and any amendments• Ensured that all company procedures were adhered to and that of any licensor’s.

My role involved working closely with new suppliers to build long-term relationships based on quality and trust in order to achieve the accurate delivery of high quality products to replace products that were produced in the Dublin factory. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, my achievements included:• Provision of all technical expertise and support to enable new supplier to match current product• Technical transfer of all recipes and some processing equipment in order to match existing products• Agreement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)• The role involves extensive travelling, time management, dealing with different cultures, foreign languages and careful communication skills

My role involved the negotiation, procurement of all engineering parts, contractor and building services. Reporting to the Group Operations & Engineering Manager, my achievements included:• Responsible for the performance and management of key suppliers• Source and purchase all engineering parts and service repairs for the business.• Responsible for achieving and improving three elements of service – Quality, Price and delivery time• Negotiated all service contracts, from drainage to water treatment• Reduction of supplier list• Operation of SAGE and related supplier evaluation systems

My role involved new product development across the business but primarily the biscuit division. Reporting to the Group NPD Manager, my achievements included:• Successful management of several projects from concept idea through to product launch, this included competitor analysis, sourcing of raw materials, recipe formulation, sensory analysis, shelf life, costings and production trials• Proven ability to work well as part of a team and have demonstrated the flexibility and ability to work just as well on my own• Excellent communication, computer and written skills

My role involved both productivity and new product development. Reporting to the Technical and Quality Manager, my achievements included:• Increased line efficiencies through Statistical Process Control (SPC)• The successful development and launch of numerous products and concept ideas• Completion of all shelf life and sensory evaluations• Maintained a close working relationship with Marketing and other departments• Creation of productivity ideas which in turn produced large cost savings

My role involved the implementation of new products into the factory and ensuring the successful launch of new products. Reporting directly to the Process Development Manager, my achievements included:• Overseeing the successful launch of over a hundred products (e.g. Meat Pies, Quiche, Sausage Rolls Ready Meals and accompanying sauces)• Responsible for numerous projects including the evaluation of raw materials to improve end product quality, the evaluation of wastage levels and recipes, to achieve cost savings.• Compiled all final product specifications and managed the specification team, which consisted of three people.• Implemented the QSA software system at the Plymouth site and became the QSA Technical co-ordinator for the convenience sector of Hazlewood Foods• Worked closely with all private label customers (e.g. ASDA and Somerfield (RSSL))

Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to achieve cost savings or accelerate new product development projects across the pots business (Yogurts and Desserts). During my time at St. Ivel, I worked unsupervised for a large percentage of the time using my own judgement and time management skills to enable projects to be delivered within the timetable and financial constraints.
