This was a 3 year graduate scheme; 1st year - worked within Group Finance rotating through many of the different finance teams to get as much exposure to the different areas. My longest stints were Financial Accounts, which I worked for throughout Year End, as well as internal audit. 2nd year (Toolstation) - I assisted the Digital and Marketing Business Partner, completing month end which including leading calls with the leads of both the Digital and Marketing teams, as well as assisting on and leading multiple projects to help management make decisions. 3rd year (Travis Perkins) - I worked with the Finance Manager of the North, Scotland and Midland branches. Again, leading month end, assisting different stakeholders (eg branch managers, regional directors, etc) on anything they may need such as helping them on any queries they may have of their management accounts. I also led the Managed Services Month End, which included significant cost analysis of all 40+, digging down into the different cost account lines, accruing / prepaying any costs that need to be, leading calls with the relevant stakeholders to ensure their areas are running smoothly for month end.

I also consolidated the charities subsidiary accounts, inputted invoices/work on Sage, and dealt with the Petty Cash.
