Having graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Business Economics with a year in industry from the University of Liverpool, I am now a Fast-Streamer Economist at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. I have also completed two years at the Health and Safety Executive, both as a placement student & mainstream economist. I have been involved in analysis of various high-profile regulatory changes. These have entailed tasks such as cost-benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis, engaging with policy colleagues, presenting to non-economists and learning the practices within The Green Book.I am also Liverpool’s representative for the Women in Economics Network. Encouraging women into the field is something I am passionate about, having been throughout my academic and professional career so far, one of just a few female economists.
