Dorset Sustainable Palm Oil CommunityMost recently I have been leading the Dorset Sustainable Palm Oil Community project which is aiming to make Dorset the world's first sustainable palm oil county! We are encouraging all Dorset businesses, organisations, cafes, restaurants, hotels, schools, universities - any one that serves, sells or uses food - to switch from conventional to sustainable palm oil if they have palm oil in the food products in their supply chain. According to Sir David Attenborough, sustainable palm oil can protect and restore nature (Earthshot Prize) and almost 100 conservation organisations signed a statement in September 2021 to say that they are committed to driving the palm oil industry in the right direction, and support a move to sustainable palm oil and not a blanket boycott. As Operations Director at Efeca, I oversee the day-to-day activities of Efeca, and provide clients with the strategic advice and support on national and international regulations, policies and other instruments.
