I was responsible for the management of the Legal Department including supporting and developing a team of high performing lawyers, improvement of legal tools / processes and involvement in key strategic matters. My legal expertise includes competition and consumer law, intellectual property, sponsorship, franchising, international taxation, dispute resolution and contract development and negotiation. I successfully managed the implementation / conclusion of key legal and non-legal projects and matters. My experience at Toyota included management of the Risk & Compliance Department and identification and implementation of improvements to the board sub-committee responsible for risk, compliance, audit and ethics.

Based in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology Division my work included business acquisitions involving technology and intellectual property; drafting and negotiating biotechnology agreements; IT implementation disputes; drafting and negotiating information technology agreements including outsourcing arrangements; drafting and negotiating telecommunication services agreement; advising clients on various intellectual property and other issues associated with marketing, promotion and packaging.
