As Project Architect at DMA, I worked across a range of projects from complex, mixed-tenure housing schemes and commercial office projects to education projects, including technical advisor role for the EFA’s Free Schools and Priority Schools Building Programme. I was responsible for the first phase of our re-think of Arup’s 6-storey, central London headquarters and lead on our workspace design projects, which involves researching and testing design ideas for new ways of flexible and collaborative working. I led several commercial office retrofit and fit-out projects, and the fit out for a University clinic and associated teaching and research spaces.

Here, together with the client, design and delivery teams, I developed and delivered bespoke designs resulting in personalised and warm family homes. Projects ranged from light touch interior design and internal remodelling to significant extensions and external landscaping.

I joined David Miller Architects as a Part II Architectural assistant in 2014, and qualified as a registered Architect in 2017. During my time at DMA, I worked on a mix of residential, educational and sport and leisure projects, including a complex, mixed-tenure scheme in Southwark that combines flats for private sale to cross-fund homes for rent and shared ownership. I also played an active role within the technical advisers team for the EFA’s Free Schools and Priority Schools Building Programme where I developed feasibility strategy proposals for the improvement of several secondary schools located within the UK. David Miller Architects are leading adopters of Building Information Modelling (BIM), which allows for an economical approach to projects in regard to design, cost and process efficiency.
