I have previously worked as a office manager for a legal firm dealing with immigration and asylum issues; my role involves dealing with mail, taking calls, booking appointments, helping individuals fill out legal documents, make sure clients paperwork in placed in their files, keeping clients informed about their case, dealing with invoices, making payments and receiving payments. I also do normal office duties such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, using a computer etc.

I have previously worked in a nursing home; the job involves providing support in a number of ways to sick elderly individuals including palliative care. On daily basis I help with personal care, feeding, companionship, my role also involves completing paperwork, entering data on the computer, photocopying etc.

I worked in the bar and restaurant. Working in the bar often I was left solely in charge of running the bar. I have learnt how to deal effectively with problematic situations such as drunken individuals and customer complaints.Working in the restaurant involved working as part of a team sometimes under pressure. I have learnt that communication is vital in order to work effectively within the team and to achieve maximum results i.e. providing a quality service to consumers.

I was positioned in a trustworthy role of being left in charge of the garage at weekends. I had the responsibility of dealing with consumers and members of staff and solving any issues that arose, allowing me to develop me listening skills, and involved me using my initiative to handle the situations effectively. I was responsible for ensuring that health and safety regulations were complied with and dealing with the banking.

This role involved working independently as I was working out in the community. I was responsible for helping the elderly live independently in their own homes. I worked under a lot of pressure in this role as time allocations for clients were limited to specified times, therefore I had to ensure all tasks were carried out within that time whilst ensuring that I provide a quality service to the client. I had to work professionally under sometime difficult and emotional circumstances. I was also entrusted on occasions to carry out on the job training for new employees.
