During my time at university, I completed a year-long placement within Sheffield Northern General Hospital, in their Research Finance department. My role consisted of: Looking after research trials in my particular area, logging invoices, requesting payment from relevant management members and creating journals for the intergrated system. Uploading journals for these studies to the hospital's integrated system against the research trials. Assisting with my fellow team members' trials whenever I could, helping to reduce their workload. Assisting managers with filing for National Insitute of Healthcare and Research funding (NIHR).Assisting managers with the distribution of research funds to Hospitals and Clinics across the Northwest.Liaising with research nurses and ensuring patients are reimbursed for assisting with trials.
