Be Fresh is a community-oriented cafe and marketplace that focusses on sustainable, local and organic produce. I have been involved in all aspects of the business, from maintaining relationships with local vendors and distributors, providing administrative support and managing the business’s ever growing team to provide the best possible work experience. Some of my key roles included:-Managing staff of 15 and training and mentoring 20 new recruits.-Maintaining relationships with local vendors, distributors and the local community.-Assisting in sustainability initiatives within the business such as ‘the last straw’, eliminating plastic straws and introducing bulk zero waste products into the store.-Creating purchase orders, dealing with invoices and creating standard operating procedures.-Conducting closing cash procedures and depositing daily takings of approximately $5K.-Monitoring stock levels and ordering stock when required, liaising with internal and external participants to do so.

My role as a temporary administrative assistant at REINSW involved:-Preparing for and assisting with the smooth running of courses to external participants.-Liaising with students, updating records and helping solve any queries over the phone and in person.-Enrolling new learners into two internal databases, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Situated at the headquarters of the East of England Ambulance Trust, I was the receptionist and first point of call for visitors to the HQ and members of the public when calling the general helpline. My role involved:-Welcoming guests to the trust HQ, directing and announcing them when needed. -Answering the trust-wide general number, answering queries, transferring calls to the relevant department within the trust.-Maintaining office security by following procedures and monitoring the visitors log book.-Ordering office supplies and catering for meetings.-Management of daily post and couriers, franking and organizing internal post transfer.

My role as a temporary Administrative Assistant at Tyco involved:-Invoicing, updating monthly reports, consulting with external agencies both over the phone and by email as well as general administration duties.-Due to the role of the company as a leading fire and security company a high level of detail and confidentially was needed.

My role as a temporary receptionist at the National Probation Service in Cambridge involved:-Dealing with a wide range of people from service users to prison officers, solicitors and charity workers, bothover the phone and in person.- Duties included answering up to 40 incoming calls a day, transferring them to others within the organization,signing in service users, entering any service user contact into a governmental database and generaladministration activities.- Issuing travel reimbursement and food bank vouchers.
