I entered this position halfway through the school year at a challenging title one school. I took on the task by learning as much as I could about the student's current progress and engaging them in goal setting. We worked through a number of various learning strategies and behavior management strategies to find what best suited the students. By the end of the year, I had a student improve 58 points on our end of year assessment! I also created an after school STEM club which, met on Fridays. This club was a hands on experience which allowed the students to build their own robot, create simple machines, create and solve real-world mathematical problems and more. Finally, I was involved in after school tutoring for second and third graders.

I plan after school activities for students ages 4 - 11. We do arts and crafts, science activities, watch and create movies, as well as play indoors and out. Each day we provide the kids with snack and quality care. I have created a rapport with the kids and their families to ensure that they feel welcome and safe.

At the Travel PCard & Expediting Office at The Ohio State University, I issue and maintain PCard accounts, perform accounts payable and expediting functions for the central university and provide travel system and policy support.

I create and execute lesson plans for children ages 3-11. These lessons are themed for the child's age group and through hands-on activities such as experiments and live animals, the children learn about wildlife, nature, science and the outdoors.

This position was designed as a part of a field work study program with The Ohio State University. For an entire semester and after, I would observe and help with a third grade classroom to get a real world experience.

This position included filing important documents, answering phones, and dealing with documents on the computer (i.e. Microsoft Office and Excel).
