I am a fourth year at the University of Virginia pursuing a BA in English. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina where I attended Myers Park High School. My previous journey through the pre medical track and EMT training provided me with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. I have since realized that I would like to pursue my interest in writing. I am eager to further explore the field using these skills gained from my STEM education combined with my passion and talent for writing. As the former head of the kayaking program at a summer camp in my home state of North Carolina, I gained administrative experience that developed my organization, communication skills, and adaptability in fast-paced environments and I am excited to see these skills transfer to future career opportunities.
