I spent years feeling miserable because of terrible managers. They made me feel unmotivated, stuck and unvalued.Does this sound familiar?According to research, untrained managers cause 1 in 3 employees to quit.So, I wasn’t alone.Then, I began my Learning and Development career and started supporting managers by teaching them the skills they need to get the best out of their teams. Suddenly I realised something huge:When we promote people into management roles without effective training, we are setting them up to fail.This is why I love creating blended, bespoke and interactive training and coaching programmes for people managers. I’ve worked across multiple industries and trained all levels of management; from new, inexperienced managers, to senior leaders who have led large teams for years. And the training needs I see are the same everywhere I go.I love what I do because I remember how it felt being that teenager, working in my first job, being managed badly. And if what I do can make a difference to someone feeling that way too, I’ve succeeded.
