I am a senior analytical chemist and data scientist working on improving efficiency and workflows in the laboratory, in computational modelling, and with documentation and data storage. I have a strong hybrid role, both lab based, computational, and digital based. I have been working in the lab running ASAP experiments and analysis via HPLC and investigating chemical-mechanical and looking at the impact of solid state disorder on chemical degradation in collaboration with RCPE, Graz University, AstraZeneca, Janssen (Johnson&Johnson), UCB, and others. I am an SME in quantitative structure-retention relationship (QSRR) modelling and have been working to streamline our workflow and make more accessible tools. I have been doing similar work for collision cross section (CCS) predictive models. On the data science side of my role, I have been working at improving documentation workflows and data extraction from documents, leading a team of SMEs in this area for redesigning documents used globally. I have built workflows for automatically generating Spotfire visualisation of data, creating databases for new work processes, and am currently working in the BIOVIA suite of tools for designing experiments in compose/capture. I am also a Co-chair of the data analytics line of CAMS and a member of the industrial committee. In my previous role I was an atomistic modeller with experience modelling battery and catalyst materials using molecular dynamics techniques (AIMD and Classical MD). I have a varied background, with my PhD evenly split between experimental and computation techniques looking at cerium dioxide.I am very keen to learn new skills and improve current skills, in both chemistry and data science. I enjoy developing clean and efficient workflows, and am always enthusiastic to rise to new challenges and broaden my knowledge.
