I never knew what I wanted to ‘be’ and my life seemed to have many diversions as I wandered around, not knowing who I am. There was an underlying feeling of unworthiness that drove me to acquiring many skills and trying many different things to try and gain some sense of achievement or fulfillment. It seemed that I couldn’t commit to anything for an extended period of time, there was no overarching goal or sense of purpose. Looking back, however I see a golden thread that stemmed from a huge empathy and desire to help those who seemed to be in need. When this desire came from a pure intention it was joyful to collaborate, but often I fell into a trap of ‘people pleasing’ which just contributed to the conflict within. It was during a period of great personal suffering in a violent relationship that I finally surrendered and asked for a miracle. Soon after, “A Course in Miracles” came into my life in answer to this deep outcry. After immersing myself in the text and repeating the lessons over and over again, a transformation began to take place! Long held onto thoughts, beliefs and grievances were washed away, and I began to ‘hear’ inwardly a voice, which guided me very specifically when I would allow it! In whatever tasks I am inspired to undertake, my mission being to impart this great desire to know God; to heal, to comfort and to bless.
