This includes supporting the Admissions Manager with enquiries, registrations and new starters.Duties include: - Organising admissions events - Managing bookings and associated administration for the open days - Dealing with enquires and corresponding with prospective parents- Database management and reporting on outcomesDuring busy times and holidays I cover the main school office, this involves covering reception, receiving parcels and dealing with incoming/outgoing mail and visitors. This role requires me to be professional, articulate and possess excellent attention to detail.

Developed, coordinated and implemented specific aspects of the council's marketing plan. I organised and managed a wide variety of corporate events including networking events, conferences, award dinners, career fairs and open days. I undertook all associated administration, including writing and designing marketing material and press releases, compiling event packs, maintaining databases, typing minutes and reports, keeping a financial record of all expenditure and ensuring invoices were paid. This was a busy and varied role which required me to work under pressure and to deadlines and to be able to communicate professionally and effectively with all internal and external customers at all levels.

I interacted with all departments within the council to compile news and press releases. I responded to enquiries from the press and public. Developed and sustained good relationships with local media. I organised press conferences, briefings and photo calls. Managed database of news and media contacts and updated website.

I was responsible for managing external communications for the 'Towards One Council' project. This included organising roadshows and community events to raise awareness of the new authority.

I provided a PR service for the council, working under the Chief Executive to create and maintain a positive reputation. This included writing and proof reading press releases, preparing an annual corporate communications plan, dealing with press enquiries, writing and publishing council publications and online content and organising events. I also dealt with corporate complaints that came into the Chief Executive, in writing and over the phone.

I trained unemployed adults on back to work courses. Researched information for the design of training materials, secured work placements, evaluated and modified programme to meet Job Centre targets and built relationships of trust with students.
