    Project Manager of the Resilient River Valleys Project- Lead on the planning and delivery of the Resilient River Valleys Project. £1.4M climate mitigation and adaptation project across 27 sites in 3 boroughs were I oversee the budget and complete reports for the Green Recovery Challenge fund (HLF). The RRV team is made up of 38 staff within Groundwork GM and at partner organisations City of Trees and Mersey Rivers Trust. - To date we have engaged with over 6000 people, connected 1800 people with nature through community engagement, outreach events and by delivering training programmers. Staff and volunteers have delivered landscape scale improvements to habitats including installing leaky dams, managing wet woodlands, re-instating ditches and pond networks all to increase water storage capacity and help ilvaite impacts of flash flooding. Nature based solutions such as tree and hedgerow planting and the create of wildflower meadows in urban environments also helps to 'slow the flow' and increase biodiversity.- RRV's drone pilot has working with Natural Course help to mapping and recording invasive species across the Irwell catchment. - The project has seen 30 trainees many of whom have little or no experience in working in the 'green sector' complete training programmes to enable them to be urban ranger, community outreach officers and project officers with over half of those who have completed the programme progressing into onward training or employment.
