    I am the Programme Manager of the Oxford Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), which is a four-year DPhil programme funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) that is based in the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) Doctoral Training Centre, University of Oxford. My responsibilities include the financial management of approximately £34 million in grant and other funding, industrial CASE contracts, student recruitment and admissions, student progression, module administration, and overall programme management. As part of my role, I work closely with two academic Programme Directors and line manage one administrator and one temporary member of staff to coordinate and organise work across the team. I am also a key contact for all students and their supervisors and industrial partners.

    I helped design and organise MPLS Mental Health Awareness Week, which was an initiative my team and I designed from scratch to support postgraduate students and staff. We organised and ran 31 free events at short notice to coincide with the national Mental Health Awareness week from the 10th-15th May 2021. In total, we had 1,747 registrations from 660 unique individuals. The wide reach and success of the week has led MPLS to organise the week as an annual permanent fixture. I won two divisional ED&I Awards for this work, including ‘Best Team Effort’ with my three teammates as it was combined team effort that led to the enormous success of the week. I was also shortlisted for the Vice Chancellors Diversity Awards in the category of Staff ED&I Champion. I also assisted with the divisional strategy on mental health.
