Art Director, Bentley MagazineBentley Motors Ltd Jan 2015 - Nov 2015LondonAs a consulting art director, I oversaw a move forward on this title, giving it more of a lifestyle feel, fresher and more contemporary. This involved globetrotting fashion shoots, features that gave insight into the world of Bentley owners, and an emphasis on the exciting and the unpredictable. In 2015, the magazine won the German industry ABC Award for Best Automotive Title, and was nominated for a CMA Award for Best Automotive Title. -

Art DirectorForward Worldwide Mar 2001 - Sep 2010I worked initially on the launch of Healthy Living Club Magazine for Tesco which won an APA in its first year; illustrations I commissioned won awards from AOI and the ASI (American Society of Illustrators).I launched Total Beauty Magazine for Tesco in January 2003, which won a DMA Award in its first year.The success of this working relationship led Tesco to commission extensive in-store work, from identity generation, brand guidelines through to in-store signage.

Senior DesignerMarie Claire 1996 - 2000Worked initially on the beauty and fashion pages, moving up to assist the art editor; my role covered commissioning photographers, illustrators, art directing shoots. I also designed supplements for L'Oréal and House of Fraser. -
Art DirectorDuplex 1993 - 1996Responsibilities ranged from concept work for pitches to on-going work for established clients. I was involved in all aspects. My biggest job here was The Disability on the Agenda logo for the DSS, used across all government communications.

Senior DesignerJoint Force 1989 - 1993My most noted job here was the re-branding of Majestic Wine; from identity to in-store signage and POS. The grape illustration was a notebook doodle I drew in the first client meeting – it stuck.
