About Lucy Wright

I am a Contract Senior Sports Physiotherapist currently working with Australian Sailing Team. I have been providing high performance physiotherapy services for over 12 years. I have a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University College. I am also a Gold Certified Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) and an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist.My core competencies include high performance injury prevention, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration. I have been involved in the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 medal winning campaign, working with experienced high performance team to develop and implement innovative practices in rehabilitation and athlete performance. I have also contributed to the development of the heat management performance strategy, which is crucial for high performance in hot conditions. Additionally, I am a Board Member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and a regular lecturer on their Sport Medicine Foundation Skills Course. I am passionate about advancing the field of sports and exercise medicine through education, research, and leadership.
