I am a scientist, businesswoman, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in drug development. I earned my doctoral degree in Biophysics and conducted postdoctoral research in Experimental Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute. My team’s research led to the FDA approval of ZEPOSIA® (ozanimod) through a Scripps spin-off, Receptos. Additionally, two more compounds from my work laid the foundation for Blackthorn Therapeutics (now part of Neumora Therapeutics, Inc.), with drug candidates progressing to phase 1 and 3 clinical trials.Following this success, I pursued an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UCSD. Over the past five years, I’ve been involved in founding several startups in the biotech and digital tech sectors across the US, Armenia, and Israel, where I develop business strategies, lead operations, guide market entries, and advise on regulatory matters.I have founded and co-founded five science-based organizations, including Proone Labs, GrittGene Therapeutics, and Anzo Bio, where I also serve as CEO. Additionally, I serve as an adviser and board member for several tech and biotech companies and investment organizations, mentor and advise startup incubators and accelerator programs in Southern California, and serve on various government committees.
