As an English Language Development Teacher and Adjunct Professor, I work with diverse students of different ages, backgrounds, and levels of proficiency. I design and deliver engaging, culturally responsive, and effective lessons that help them improve their language skills and academic performance. I also collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all of my students.I am passionate about accessible, high-quality, and equitable education for everyone, especially for those who have experienced trauma or face barriers to access. That is why I am pursuing an EdD in Trauma Informed Educational Practices at National University, where I am exploring the experiences and needs of Latino/a students, migration trauma, linguistic hegemony, and other relevant topics in my research. My goal is to be a better resource and advocate for my students and contribute to the advancement of educational research and practice.
