Seconded to the BEIS team responsible for setting up the Government Office for Technology Transfer (GOTT). I led the business planning for the design and launch of GOTT, working with an extensive network of senior stakeholders from Whitehall, the Public Sector and the Tech Transfer world to create and test the business plan for this new unit. This work translated Government's Mackintosh Report into a structured approach to the delivery of societal and economic benefit from public sector knowledge assets. My role also provided me with first hand experience of the Civil Service and central government and the opportunity to listen to the needs and challenges of a wide range of stakeholders in the public sector and tech transfer community.

Leading Accenture UK’s “Incubator” for Digital Technology, a team of ~40 people working with Emerging Technologies, Innovation methodologies and rapid prototyping to deliver new digital solutions for clients. Embedding an innovation culture across the organisation by rotating people through this multi-disciplinary team and fostering a collaborative, learning culture. My responsibilities include:- Overall Programme Management and governance of Accenture UK’s Innovation fund. - Ownership of innovation methodologies and best practise, including Innovation Sprints, Hackathons, Ideation workshops, research & insight, idea pipeline management, rapid prototyping using Agile sprints and a “test & learn” approach to proving concepts or failing fast.- Sales and delivery of Innovation projects with Accenture’s clients.- Management of Accenture’s Innovation showcase

Joining Accenture via its acquisition of Nokia’s ex-Symbian consultancy division (SOSCO) in 2008, I was part of the Global Mobility Delivery Leadership Team, initially as the Global Android Lead - responsible for starting Accenture’s Android software engineering programme in 2008, and then as the Geographic Expansion Lead – responsible for defining the strategy for growing Accenture’s global Mobility software engineering teams.

As Deputy Head of Licensee Product Development (LPD), I was responsible for the day-to-day engineering management of this team of ~100 motivated and highly experienced software engineers. LPD was responsible for the delivery of Symbian smartphone products into the market. This role gave me extensive experience of delivering "world first" digital consumer products into the market.
