The program is a partnership between the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, NASA Langley Research Center, The Commonwealth of Virginia and Industry.

Watched judge and attorney panels. + Led meetings with five other team members to create Instagram page; created and posted videos to explain March for Our Lives and gun violence, and Brady’s Handgun Law.

+ Selected for 5-week astrophysics summer program (10% acceptance rate) with rigorous study of theoretical and observational astrophysics+ Solved 15 rigorous multi-part problem-sets on physics, math, astronomy, and Python. + Collaborated with two other researchers under the supervision of Dr. Agnes Kim and Dr. Cassandra Fallscheer to determine the right ascension, declination, and magnitude of 2003 GE42, a Mars-crosser asteroid, at four original observations using image reduction, astrometry, and photometry. + Collected data was published in the International Astronomical Union’s August 7, 2020 Minor Planet Circular.+ Coded 1000+ lines in Python to program the Method of Gauss to calculate orbital elements from observation data, Least-Square Plate Reduction to calculate plate constants, FITS celestial object centroid calculator, Aperture Photometry tool, and Monte Carlo method simulation. + Wrote research paper on the accuracy of the Method of Gauss in determining the orbital elements of 2003 GE42.

+ Selected for fully-funded 3-week residential artificial intelligence summer program at the University of Maryland.+ Learned Python during daily classes, lectures, and project blocks. Studied AI and machine learning methods for social good.+ Coded and presented successful leaf recognition program during expo. Studied and tested different neural networks and convolution layers in the development of the machine learning program.

+ Taught 80+ kids to swim 25-50 yards. Planned and led pep rallies for 50+ swimmers; performed skits and led cheers. + Planned and conducted 20-30 swimmer morning and afternoon practices. + Set up schedule & privately coached 18 swimmers of different skill levels & ages (4-11) individually and in groups.
