I am seeking remote/ hybrid opportunities in the sustainability field starting from mid-March 2025.I am a First-Class Honours graduate in Sustainability and Environmental Management (Ind) from the University of Leeds, currently completing a fixed-date internship with Earth4All, working directly with Johannah Bernstein as a Research Associate. My role involves supporting environmental policy and advocacy projects, and contributing to the mission of the Earth4All initiative. Specifically, I focus on report writing related to economic systems change and the implementation of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa and Latin America, alongside strategic advocacy campaign planning for global summits.My dissertation examined the barriers farmers in Devon face in sustainable agriculture within the context of Brexit. In March 2024, I was invited to present this research to policymakers and legislators in the House of Commons and at multiple regional and national conferences. I was honoured to win the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Award at the regional Student Sustainability Research Conference.I have 12 months of industrial experience with the University of Leeds Sustainability Service. I ran strategic communications campaigns across projects such as Active Travel, Biodiversity, Social Impact, the Sustainable Curriculum, and Staff/Student Engagement. Two of these projects were nominated for the 2023 Green Gown Awards for the UK and Ireland. During this time, I gained profound insights into social media and algorithms, achieving a 745.5% increase in Instagram engagement rate over a year.I presented my work on Fair Trade at the Fair Trade International Symposium 2023 to global academics and policymakers and have subsequently co-written a paper summarising the findings, which is published in the Journal of Fair Trade.Alongside my studies, I served as a Student Employability Ambassador for the School of Earth and Environment, presenting advice on placement years, LinkedIn, and employability to lectures of over 100 students.Additionally, I supported the founding of the University of Leeds Sustainability Society as Social Media Secretary and was successfully shortlisted for the 'School Community Partnership of the Year' at the Faculty of Earth and Environment Partnership Awards, as well as for two Leeds University Union Riley Awards.My passion for the outdoors has led me to participate in multiple conservation volunteering placements, including Westhay Moor peatland restoration and Loch Arkaig temperate forest regeneration.
