Hello, and thanks for visiting my LinkedIn profile! I enjoy meeting like-minded nurses and healthcare professionals, and I welcome personalized invitations to connect. I’m a results-oriented nursing professional with experience in various clinical environments, including acute care, clinic, labor and delivery, emergency room, office nursing, long term acute care (LTAC), and hemodialysis. My strengths include physical assessment, critical and analytical thinking, patient education, and the supervision of direct reports as a Charge Nurse. As I’ve woven the tapestry of my nursing career through the decades, I’ve come to realize that I care about so much more than just the “tasks” of nursing. Each thread of the tapestry of my career -- each clinical setting, work environment, and patient I’ve cared for -- has served to deepen the color and texture of my professional life. As a highly motivated intrapreneur who thrives on challenge and active participation in organizational development, I bring open-mindedness, fairness, and tolerance to the table, as well as the ability to see the big picture in relation to clinical practice and operations.Having spent time as a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health working in the “assembly-line” world of primary care, I chose to return to work as a registered nurse in order to experience greater personal satisfaction and the ability to provide technically challenging hands-on care at the bedside. I believe this has afforded me the opportunity to return to the fulfilling heart of nursing practice while deepening my appreciation for the vast variety of roles that nurses can experience. The tapestry of my career certainly has pulled threads, bare spots, and mismatched colors and textures, but overall it has served me and my patients well. In this next chapter, I look forward to weaving yet another thread into the mix. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about who I am.
