With her strategic judgment and ability to uncover the facts fast, Lucy has guided blue-chip global companies and C-suite individuals around the world through corporate crises. She helps clients investigate, respond to, prevent and recover from all manner of wrongdoing, including bribery and other forms of white-collar crime, toxic workplace cultures and ESG risks, such as human rights and supply chain abuses. Lucy is co-chair of Jenner’s Human Rights and Global Strategy practice. Corporate crises tend to be multi-faceted and clients value Lucy’s ability to propose a cohesive strategy in managing simultaneous proceedings, such as internal and external investigations by a variety of prosecutors and regulators (including the SFO, FCA and US DOJ) as well as litigation, parliamentary proceedings and public inquires. She is particularly experienced at “quarterbacking” cross-border matters – synthesising advice from specialist and/ or local lawyers to bring clarity with strategic and commercial advice on sequencing parallel proceedings and investigations by competing regulators around the world.Lucy also helps organisations prevent and recover from crises, drawing on her experiences on secondments in several global clients’ compliance functions. She spent six years on the board of Amnesty International UK during a high-profile investigation into workplace culture, giving her an insight into executives’ priorities during crises and the importance of gaining stakeholders’ trust to ensure organisations learn from their challenges and build back better.Lucy’s extensive pro bono experience includes working on death row appeals in Texas; for the UK human rights organization Liberty; and on numerous human rights appeals and interventions in the English courts. Prior to working at Jenner, Lucy worked in Linklaters’ Dispute Resolution department in London for ten years.
