Also organised product-focussed learning opportunities for operators based on requests from the shop floor team. Led a SMED workshop to improve winding setup, resulting in >30% setup lead time reduction and >50% operator travel reduction. These results were achieved through a combination of operator-lead 5S improvements, creation of new job planning and resource allocation rules.In addition to my work on the shop floor, I also lead a wing-to-wing Value Stream Mapping event with a cross-functional team. The tool visualised processes and quantified lead times of the production of large power transformers from the receipt of customer PO through engineering design, procurement, manufacturing and ready to ship.This role was my final placement as part of GE's operations & supply chain graduate scheme, the Operations Management Leadership Program. As part of OMLP I developed my knowledge of multiple areas of the supply chain, experiencing 3 roles in 3 businesses in 3 locations over two years.
