Utilized RMAN image copy backup and successfully completed the migration within the downtime window. Moved 6 mission-critical 10GR2 RAC databases from Chicago to Carrollton data center. Engineered a solution to migrate databases from Solaris x86-64 little-endian platform to IBM Zseries Linux big-endian. Utilized oracle cross platform transportable tablespaces, RMAN and EMC RecoverPoint to minimize downtime. Joined a cross-functional tiger team to troubleshoot a high-profile revenue-impacting performance issue.
