I am a self motivated, reliable, resilient and driven second year psychology student with an interest in working within mental health and with children as I am passionate about helping others.During my degree I have developed my knowledge and understanding in various areas of psychology such as mental health, developmental, social and cognitive. I have gained research skills in both qualitative and quantitative fields of study as well as worked on many skills during my academic journey such as critical thinking, statistical analysis, problem solving, presenting and teamwork. Currently I am working as a front of house bartender at Miller and carter which has given me many valuable skills such as affective communication, the ability to work under pressure, teamwork, leadership and organisation skills.I would love to explore opportunities for volunteering or work experience with children or mental health where I can utilise my empathetic and understanding personality.I would like to demonstrate and further develop my active listening skills, communication, patience and rapport building skills in order to to build up my experience opening up more paths for me in the future.
