As an Internal coach at UBC, I provide individual coaching to staff and faculty. My coaching philosophy centres on my belief that every client has the wisdom they need to create the change they seek. My clients and I co-create spaces where new awareness and insights can emerge. We then work together to harness their new learning and develop concrete action plans towards creating sustainable results. I work as part of a new cross-functional team at UBC Bookstore, focused on improving the e-commerce experience for the UBC Community.My role includes monitoring e-commerce trends, copywriting, publishing new products, product content curation, actively maintaining website content, product photography and photoshoot production. I also play a key role in the Bookstore's communications team, including providing training, support and guidance to new and temporary team members. How I've brought this role to life:1. A key contributor to a new E-Commerce training program for all Bookstore staff members including spearheading the development of a Confluence knowledge base, troubleshooting guides and communications templates.2. Worked to rapidly transition UBC Bookstore to e-commerce in response to Covid-19. Within three months, I published an additional 1500 products to the e-commerce site, contributing to a 354% increase in online sales. E-commerce now accounts for 50% of all Bookstore sales.

In 2017, I launched my own business to help small business owners develop business and marketing plans through the facilitation of one-on-one workshops. My mission was to create and deliver a service offering that truly met the unique business and marketing needs of small businesses.Since then, I’ve worked with small business clients based in Canada and the US to facilitate strategy and planning sessions, project manage events, launch websites, develop their communications and messaging, and run social media advertising campaigns.

As Marketing Manager at agri-tech startup, Nutriva Group, I provided creative strategy and tactical marketing support to all seven of the organization's business units. Drawing on Agile, Scrum and other methodologies, I facilitated strategy, operations and marketing planning sessions and equipped business unit teams with the tools and knowledge they needed to get results.- Project managed the implementation of a company-wide Open Book Management and Profit Sharing system. This project included assessment of the organization's learning needs, teaching and facilitation at monthly company-wide business acumen education sessions and measuring impact through regular learning evaluations.- Project managed the implementation of a work ticketing system including the delivery of a company-wide training program.- Provided content development support on the organization's new Orientation/Ways-of-Working document, including distilling complex business concepts and processes into terms that were easy to understand for new employees.- Achieved 30%+ year-on-year revenue growth at EcoDairy in partnership with Science World, developed and launched EcoDairy's educational programs, contributing 40% of the organization’s annual revenue. Coordinated all of Nutriva Group's marketing efforts including event production, social content ideation, development and scheduling, copywriting for both B2B and B2C audiences, sales support for promotions and couponing, public relations and awards calendar coordination.

I was the voice and storyteller for Nutriva Group's B2C brands - Vitala Foods and EcoDairy. My role included content creation and curation across the brands' social channels - Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and the Vitala Foods Blog. - Increased digital following across multiple social platforms by more than 300% year on year. - Pitched and developed the concept for the Vitala Foods blog to facilitate stronger brand storytelling.

I led a team of reporters and photographers at a thriving daily newspaper where our goal was to engage our community with high-quality news that mattered to them both in print and online. In this role, I was tasked with driving the daily news agenda including chairing daily news conferences, keeping the editorial leadership team apprised of the day's events as they unfolded, providing direction on layout, headline and story placement and ensuring my team were supported in the newsgathering process.- Selected to attend Fairfax Media’s Management Development program for emerging leaders.- Developed and implemented a new orientation and mentoring program for cadet reporters.
