In my current role I not only manage the day to day activities and movements for three Partners in our Financial Services Group (one of which is the National Banking Leader for PwC Australia) but work alongside them as their 'strategic partner', representing them and being their voice in situations and meetings where they themselves cannot be present. The basic foundations of my EA role vary between ad hoc project coordination, event management, operational financial support, team administrator for our Banking and Capital Markets group and of course the bread and butter work for an EA, diary, email and travel management.

Working in the Business Recovery team, I supported the Managing Partner for PwC Wellington. Most of the support given was in the Business Recovery space (Liquidations and Receivership's) and this is where I saw first hand how there is a human face related to this unfortunate side of business. Whilst arranging meetings, travel and updating databases and coordinating project teams I often saw how small businesses truly felt the effects of the GFC. This role not only developed my EA skills but also provided an insight into the risk of running a business, be it large or small.
