Admiralty Interview Board
As a Board member at the AIB I am part of a small team that runs an assessment centre for potential officer candidates. Both candidates from within and out with the Service are tested for their potential to become a Naval Officer over a two day assessment package. My role is to facilitate a planning and group discussion exercise which assesses the candidates ability to show flexibility of thought, mental arithmetic, strategic and tactical planning and reasoning. I assess the practical leadership tasks performed by the candidates as a group exercise, mark thief written communication in the form of an essay and sit on a two person interview panel. I have been trained at ORCE assessment, interview skills and techniques.
Physical Training And Recreation Officer & Executive Staff Officer
When I retired from boxing I returned to the physical training world. Here I Lead a team of 23 physical training instructors and I was responsible for ensuring top class delivery of physical education and development to students and trained members of the largest training establishment in the Royal Navy. I was responsible to the Command for ensuring compliance with physical education, sport and adventurous training policies and ensuring we delivered the best opportunities and training to our Naval personnel. I was also the Executive Staff Officer, responsible for elements of the day to day running of HMS Collingwood's Executive department.

We achieved this registration in 2015 and we also won Clubmark accreditation from Sport England which denotes sports club which have excellent child protection and governance practices. I head a fantastic and enthusiastic voluntary committee who continue to drive Poseidon forward for the benefit of the community
Bbc Olympic & Commonwealth Games Boxing Co-Commentator
I had the honour of commentating on the inaugural women's Olympic boxing championships in London 2012. Seated alongside legends such as Richie Woodhall, Alex Arthur MBE, Jim Neilly and Ronald Mackintosh I helped narrate one of the greatest moments in female boxing history. Furthermore in 2014 I was asked once again to commentate on the inaugural women's Commonwealth Games Boxing Championships in Glasgow, where once again I had the pleasure to describe to the world the fantastic record breaking achievements of the best female boxers in the Commonwealth.
Great Britain Boxer
As a keen amateur boxer I had competed for the Royal Navy, the Combined Services and England for a number of years but in September 2009 the announcement was made that women would be included at the London Olympics and I was selected as part of the inaugural 7 women GB Squad. I was appointed to the Elite Sportspersons Programme. This is a Royal Navy programme for elite athletes with Olympic Potential and this allowed me to train full time. Competing for Great Britain took me all over the world, I won silver in a world ranking tournament in Turkey and was ranked in the top 5 in the world at three different weight categories.

At the home of Royal Navy Physical Training, HMS Temeraire. I assisted in the design and implementation of the Physical Education Policy across the Royal Navy. Responsibilities included project managing the roll out of new Tri-Service policies across the Naval Service and the assurance of current policies.

A dual role involving on the one hand leading and managing a team of 15 Physical Training Instructors to deliver programmes for the physical development of trainees and serving personnel. The other responsibility was to develop and deliver Command, Leadership and Management classes and programmes for the continued leadership development of our managers. This involved designing and implementing leadership classes and activities, leadership course seminars and preparation classes.

Responsibilities involved lecturing on leadership principles, divisional responsibilities, effective communication and report writing. Practical leadership tasks, physical team challenges including assault courses and cliff and chasm challenges and disaster exercises.
Psychological Operations Officer
As a Psychological Operations Officer I was responsible for a multi media campaign to integrate media, information and psychological operations to support the Allied operation in Iraq. Tasks included creating media marketing campaigns to support the Allied messages, participation in the Tactical Psyops Teams (TPTs) on the ground to gather intelligence and market effectiveness of the campaigns and strategies to win local hearts and minds.
Warfare Officer
Having joined Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in September 2001 for Officer training I moved onto HMS Grafton and HMS Lindisfarne for my specialist Warfare Training. On successful completion of the Warfare Officer's course at HMS Collingwood I was assigned to HMS Nottingham as an Officer of the Watch. As part of the ships company we conducted Basic Operational Sea Training, anti-smuggling operations in the Gulf of Aden, Joint exercises with the US and Canadian Navy and Fleet Wee Review in New York.
